Patronage and social responsibility

The patronage policy is implemented across the Bouygues Group and its six business segments.

Caring is at the heart of what we do

Caring is an integral part of the Bouygues group’s DNA. The Group firmly believes that a successful company is above all a socially responsible one that strives to combine business performance, positive impact and collective strength. This commitment is reflected in the engagement of its employees, its support for community projects and the work of its foundations in tackling major social and environmental issues such as education and the occupational integration of young people, diversity and working with a disability.

Bouygues has an ambitious policy in favour of diversity and inclusion, supported by all its business lines, the Group HR Department and its patronage initiatives. Fuelled by the belief that individuality is an asset and a powerful driver of transformation, Bouygues works to give each unique perspective the place it deserves. This committed caring spirit guides the Bouygues group’s teams in their collective ambition to build a better future focusing on people and based on shared progress.

Patronage

Through its corporate foundations and dedicated departments, Bouygues supports numerous high-impact social and environmental impact projects which regularly involve its employees.

Our main patronage projects

In addition to its business segments’ initiatives, the Bouygues group parent company, Bouygues SA, steers its own corporate patronage policy which focuses on four core areas: education, by promoting equal opportunities through cultural access and occupational integration and training for vulnerable young people; housing and inclusion; health and issues related to disability and technological challenges; and lastly, the environment, biodiversity and the preservation of ecosystems.

These themes resonate with the Group’s corporate purpose – to be useful to society and sustainably interact with local populations.

Education and equal opportunity

Le Rocher

Helps to finance tutoring for 700 children from disadvantaged urban areas and motivation-boosting vacations (at the seaside or in the mountains) for vulnerable young people.

La Cité De La Musique – Philharmonie De Paris

Bouygues supports the Démos initiative, which offers the opportunity to learn classical music, as part of an orchestra, to children who, for social, economic or geographical reasons, are far removed from this cultural sphere. To this day, over 13,000 children have been supported since the creation of Démos, and 47 orchestras are bringing this project to life across France.

Housing & inclusion

Lazare

Funding for the construction of an extra storey for Lazare house in Toulouse to create “lift-off” studio apartments. These will offer total independence to people who have been homeless, enabling them to gradually regain their independence.

Simon de Cyrène

Since 2006, the Bouygues group has been supporting this non-profit by helping to finance the construction of shared homes where people with disabilities and able-bodied adults live together.

Health, research and innovation

Handilab

Supporting the Handilab and its stakeholders in their efforts to promote inclusive innovation. Only a year after its creation, Handilab is home to over 50 start-ups, a “Uselab”, a training body and a health centre currently being set up. It regularly organises workshops and discussion forums on disability and loss of personal autonomy.

Café Joyeux

The Group supports the training and learning opportunities for people with mental or cognitive disabilities who run this café-restaurant chain on a daily basis.

Fonds pour la Recherche sur les AVC

Dr. Charlotte Jacquemot’s clinical research project focuses on digital innovation for personalised and effective rehabilitation of stroke-induced language and communication disabilities. The donation enabled the recruitment of a post-doctoral researcher trained in speech therapy and who is responsible for managing the patient rehabilitation tool and analysing the data collected.

The environment & biodiversity

Planète Urgence

The Mosotry project, dedicated to the restoration of mangroves in Madagascar, aims to empower local communities in their reforestation efforts and their management of natural resources. Planète Urgence also works with schools to raise awareness about the need to preserve mangroves.
