In 2008, the Bouygues group plans to hire 11,000 people in France. The high rate of recruitment in recent years will continue to grow, driven by strong development in all the Group's businesses.
In 2007, the Group took on 12,000 new employees in France. Of these, 76% were hired on permanent contracts, an increase of nearly 16% compared with 2006.
Hires outside France totalled more than 9,700.
In the three years from 2006 to 2008, the Group will hire more than 55,000 people worldwide, including 33,000 in France.
Bouygues Construction and Colas account for over 80% of hires. Other Group businesses also have major recruitment programmes under way.
The Group offered 5,300 internships lasting from three to six months to students from all disciplines in 2007.
This number is expected to reach 5,500 in 2008. Internships at Bouygues – all paid – span a wide variety of businesses. Nearly half of all interns go on to a full-time position within the Group.
