Bouygues Immobilier

Bouygues Immobilier is the Bouygues group's property development company. It was formed from the merger with Stim, the first business into which Entreprise Francis Bouygues branched out in 1956.

Serving private individuals, businesses and institutional investors, Bouygues Immobilier operates in the residential and commercial property sectors, business and retail parks, and urban development:

Residential property: This ranges from small residences of a dozen or so apartments or houses to complex large-scale projects containing several hundred housing units. Reservations – at a record high – were taken for 11,465 housing units in 2007, an increase of more than 5% on 2006. In order to ensure better market coverage, Bouygues Immobilier continued to extend its geographical reach in the French regions in 2007, buying up Blanc et Cie,
a property developer based in Grenoble.

Commercial property, business and retail parks:
In 10 years, Bouygues Immobilier has developed 1,800,000 sq. metres of offices and business premises. The market was buoyant in 2007 and Bouygues Immobilier saw its reservations rise sharply to total €1,694 million.

Galeo
Several major projects are under way, including the Mozart Tower (45,500 sq. metres), the future HQE-certified headquarters of Bouygues Telecom, Galeo (23,700 sq. metres), Bouygues Immobilier's new headquarters in Issy-les-Moulineaux, the Bouygues Telecom Technical Centre
(53,000 sq. metres) in Meudon, the headquarters of Schneider Electric (35,000 sq. metres) in Rueil-Malmaison and Spallis (39,000 sq. metres) in St Denis. All of these office buildings are in the Paris region.

Urban development: Bouygues Immobilier has the expertise to carry out urban development schemes combining private or social housing, shops, offices and public amenities.

Berge du Lac

Projects include the Berge du Lac scheme in Bordeaux, a 1,550-unit eco-neighbourhood with schools and local services on a 30-hectare site, and the 1,000-unit Corbeil-Essonnes development in the Paris region with serviced accommodation for students and nurses.

Sustainable development: Bouygues Immobilier aims to set the market standard for environment-friendly development. Fully aware of the environmental impact of its buildings, Bouygues Immobilier has undertaken to certify all its housing projects in France under the "Habitat & Environment" label delivered by Cerqual, an independent body that is a subsidiary of the Qualitel association. This certification is a guarantee for occupants that their building complies with environmental protection criteria, including clean work sites, major energy savings, choice of materials, control of water consumption, comfort and health, and "green living".
In the commercial property sector, Bouygues Immobilier has undertaken to obtain High Environmental Quality (HQE®) certification for all its large-scale office schemes. Bouygues Telecom's future headquarters and Technical Centre, developed by Bouygues Immobilier, will be fully HQE®-compliant.

Green office
The company also launched the first large positive-energy building, Green Office® in Meudon (23,000 sq. metres).

Bouygues Immobilier places major importance on architecture, entrusting some of its projects to world-renown architects such as Christian de Portzamparc, Christian Devillers and Jean-Michel Willmotte. The company is a founding partner of the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, a new museum of architecture and design in Paris, and helps promote young architects under the New Albums for Young Architects (NAJA) programme(1).

Bouygues Immobilier now has 35 regional offices in France, giving the company an active presence in over 210 towns and cities. It also operates in Europe through subsidiaries in Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Alicante), Germany (Frankfurt), Portugal (Lisbon), Poland (Warsaw) and Belgium (Brussels).

Bouygues Immobilier posted sales of €2,075 million in 2007.

Bouygues Immobilier was the first property developer to be granted ISO 9001:2000 certification for all its activities in France. It has 1,545 employees.

François Bertière has been the company's Chairman and CEO since 2001.
