Bouygues Construction is growing strongly in Switzerland through its subsidiary Losinger, which acquired Marazzi in 2006 (sales of €150 million and 300 employees). This acquisition boosts the group's presence in German-speaking Switzerland. Losinger is currently building the Learning Centre for the Ecole Polytechnique in Lausanne, as well as a major recreational centre (Raurica Nova) in Basel.
The group recently delivered a new section of the Istria motorway in Croatia.
The group broke into the Russian market in 1990 with the construction of the Iris hotel in Moscow. In 1996 and 1997, Bouygues built a cosmonaut training centre and an office building in the heart of Moscow, followed by several shopping centres. In 2007, Bouygues Construction delivered logistics hubs (on behalf of client Belaya Datcha), office block projects (Vizzavi) and shopping malls in Moscow. It is currently building a luxury hotel in Yekaterinburg, Russia's third-largest city, where it has just won a contract for a new residential tower.
