From design to delivery, Bouygues'
new headquarters at 32 Avenue Hoche in Paris has been
built according to High Environmental Quality (HQE) principles.
In October 2006 the Bouygues headquarters
received "NF Bâtiments tertiaires - Démarche
HQE® (Haute Qualité Environnementale)" certification
for high environmental quality in office buildings, as recognised
by the French standards organisation. Thirteen criteria were
ranked high or very high in the appraisal, while only seven
are required for certification.
For example, the headquarters has
400 sq. m. of garden and a living wall, as well as large bay-windows
to provide plenty of natural light. It also features absorbent
materials (fitted carpets, false ceilings, etc.) to improve
sound insulation.
