  • Masonry - Building stone: H. CHEVALIER/QUELIN

Founded in 1946 by master stonemason Henri Chevalier the company first specialised in building restoration before moving into renovation and major rehabilitation. Then, 20 years ago, it turned to a third activity: creation of a stone-cutting workshop.

Ever since it was founded, Quelin has been involved in the conservation and safeguarding of historical buildings. Because of its skills - which have been recognised by a Qualibat high-technical-competence certificate issued for restoration of historic monuments - it is able to meet the requirements of a large range of clients (ministries, local and regional authorities, and private individuals).

  • Sculptures: TOLLIS/JEAN GARLEITA

Founded to exploit a patent for cleaning façades of construction stone using compresses (instead of the traditional technique of removing dirt by abrasion), Tollis specialises in the restoration of stone, metal and mosaic sculptures. Restoration of sculptures has been its main line of business since 2003.

For the Hôtel de la Marine demonstration project, Tollis paired up with an ornamental sculptor, Jean Garleita.
