Press visit to the Hôtel de la Marine work site
 
A press visit to the Hôtel de la Marine work site was organized on 4 September 2007 to present the restoration work on the listed building carried out by Bouygues under a skills sponsorship agreement.
On the agenda: access to the scaffolding, tour of the halls and Golden Gallery.
A press pack summarising the history of the project was distributed on the occasion.

Attic storey: top floor of a building, set back from the façade and smaller in area than the rest of the building.

Drums: cylinders of stone which, stacked, form a column.

Fluting: parallel grooves used decoratively on the shaft of a column.
