Soft mobility and urban services

The Group's construction businesses work hand-in-hand with local authorities to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from transport by building cycle paths, tram lines, and roads that produce energy (the Wattway solution).

Bouygues designs, builds and operates third places that enable workers to avoid unnecessary journeys. The Group offers high-performance solutions for pooling urban services networks, optimising them and thus reducing their investment and maintenance costs.

Bouygues can also install sensors to collect data that is useful for new urban services that have the potential to generate energy savings.

Nature in the city

Bouygues Construction and Bouygues Immobilier use BiodiverCity, the first global label for recognising construction and renovation projects that factor in urban biodiversity. The Group has several projects certified with the BiodiverCity label, such as the eco-neighbourhoods Neo-C in Créteil and Font-Pré in Toulon, Challenger in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the City of Music in Boulogne-Billancourt.

CityBox smart street lamps

The CityBox solution by Bouygues Energies & Services enables street lamps to be used to provide a variety of services: at night, lighting adapts itself to lighting conditions and to footfall and during the day, the streetlamp becomes a base for a number of urban services (CCTV, defibrillator, Wifi, etc.).

The Nextdoor network: for a “new approach to working"

Nextdoor keeps pace with the societal shift towards more flexible working methods. The concept is to offer companies flexible and shared work spaces with no minimum term commitment. Nextdoor promotes collaborative work methods and creativity through inter-company exchange as well as work spaces that are designed for maximum user comfort. The first Nextdoor site opened its doors in Issy-les-Moulineaux, south of Paris, in 2015. The network will expand over the whole of France with around 15 sites planned by 2020.
