BYpedia, the Group's collaborative extranet devoted specifically to sustainable development and sustainable construction, was developed in 2008 and rolled out in 2009. Overhauled in 2010 and extended to include themes beyond sustainable development, the portal encourages innovation and makes it easier for employees to share knowledge and best practice in all areas. Entirely developed in-house, BYpedia works on the Web 2.0 principle (wikis, forums, self-regulation).

In 2011, it has 8,000 registered internal users, 500 outside partners, around 300 articles and more than 300 working groups.
