Education and career
Nonce Paolini has a Master of Arts and is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (1972).
He started his career at the French power and gas utility EDF-GDF, where he held posts of operational responsibility (customer service and sales/marketing) then senior management (organisation, training, HR and corporate communications).
He joined the Bouygues group in 1988 as HR development director before becoming Group corporate communications director in 1990. He moved to TF1 in 1993, taking up the post of HR director, then Executive Vice-President in 1999.
Nonce Paolini was appointed Senior Vice-President of Bouygues Telecom in January 2002, in charge of sales and marketing, customer relations and human resources. He became Deputy CEO in April 2004 and a member of the Board of Directors in April 2005.
Nonce Paolini has been CEO of TF1 since 22 May 2007 and Chairman since 31 July 2008.
He has also been a member of Bouygues' Board of Directors since April 2008.
France's leading general-interest channel with a 27.2% market share* in 2008, TF1 is also an integrated media group which develops diversification activities on high-growth markets in addition to its core business.
The TF1 group, which employs 4,000 people, posted sales of €2.6 billion in 2008.
