Education and career

Alain Pouyat is a graduate of École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (Ensam) engineering school. He joined Bouygues in 1970. Starting his career as an IT engineer, he was appointed IT manager in 1981, then Group IT director in 1986. He became Executive Vice-President, Information Systems and New Technologies in 1988.

Alain Pouyat is a non-voting director of the Bouygues Board of Directors.
