SRI - Social Responsible Investment
Since 2007, Bouygues has been included in two corporate social responsibility (CSR) indices, thereby rewarding the Group’s efforts in terms of sustainable development.
Vigeo's ASPI Eurozone® index
The ASPI Eurozone® (Advanced Sustainable Performance Indices) index is the benchmark European index for companies and investors which have included sustainable development in their business strategy.
Created by the Vigeo CSR rating agency, the ASPI Eurozone® index selects the 120 best-rated companies in the euro zone on the basis of Vigeo's CSR ratings.
Vigeo is the leading European CSR rating agency. It evaluates organisations' CSR commitments, and identifies extra-financial risk and its level of management.
Vigeo evaluates companies' CSR performance on the basis of six fields.
- Human rights
- Human resources
- Environment
- Business behaviour
- Corporate governance
- Community involvement
In September 2007, Bouygues was added to the ASPI Eurozone® index.
In December 2009, Bouygues’ presence in the index was confirmed by Vigeo.
ECPI Ethical indices
Bouygues is included in the three ECPI Ethical indices:
The ECPI Ethical index Euro contains 150 European listed companies, selected for their best practice in social, environmental and ethical matters.
The ECPI Ethical index EMU contains 150 listed companies in the euro zone, selected for their best practice in social, environmental and ethical matters.
The ECPI Ethical index Global contains 150 companies listed worldwide, selected for their best practice in social, environmental and ethical matters.
These indices are managed by the Italian rating agency E. Capital Partners, which rates a panel of 4,000 listed companies worldwide on the basis of extra-financial criteria, particularly social and environmental criteria. The aim is to evaluate and rate companies' sustainable development policies, as well as the progress made, the involvement of senior executives and long-term behaviour.
