Corporate sponsorship at Bouygues

Sponsorship by Bouygues SA

For nearly 20 years, the Bouygues group has contributed to the economic and social development of the regions and countries where it operates through economic and solidarity initiatives as well as sponsorship.

In 2001, Martin Bouygues decided that the sponsorship policy of Bouygues SA, the parent company of the Bouygues group, should be clarified and brought within a tighter framework. Sponsorship was accordingly focused on education, medical research, social initiatives and cultural activities.

The Bouygues Board of Directors set up an Ethics and Sponsorship Committee made up of three board members and chaired by Lucien Douroux, formerly Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Crédit Agricole Indosuez.

The committee meets three or four times a year to review sponsorship requests and to give its opinion.

Sponsorship by subsidiaries

Each of the Group's businesses develops and finances its own sponsorship initiatives. The following are just some examples of what they do.

  • Since 2005, Bouygues Construction has financed the planning and development of museum space for the Trois Antiques (Three Classical Cultures) gallery at the Louvre Museum. On 21 September 2009, Bouygues Construction launched its corporate foundation, Terre Plurielle, which supports projects in four specific areas: health, disability, education and integration.

  • Bouygues Immobilier is a founding partner of the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris.

  • Each year since 1991, the Colas Foundation has commissioned paintings on the theme of the road from 15 artists.
In April 2010, the Public Establishment of the Museum and National Estate of Versailles and Colas signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement to repair the pathways in the park of Versailles.

  • In June 2007, TF1 set up a foundation to support professional audiovisual projects of young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods.

  • Created in 2006, the Bouygues Telecom Foundation provides support mainly for projects to enhance awareness and create links between individuals in three areas: the environment, assistance for people with medical or social problems, and promotion of the French language.
