Our CSR policy

Aware of the impact of its activities, Bouygues places corporate social responsibility (CSR) at the heart of its strategy and adapts its business models accordingly. The Bouygues group aims to be a benchmark player in responsible solutions and draws on the best practices in the human resources, social and environmental domains.

CSR initiatives at Bouygues have the following aim: to reduce the company’s impacts on eco-systems, win wider public acceptance of the company’s activity, satisfy the expectations of stakeholders and improve its appeal. Moreover, Bouygues is convinced that offering responsible solutions is an important avenue of growth for its business areas and, accordingly, is concerned that the business areas themselves all adopt a highly responsible attitude.

In late 2013, Bouygues carried out a materiality assessment for identifying areas for action in the CSR domain. Bouygues, as a diversified industrial group, is concerned by such issues on many different levels. These are dealt with by each of its business areas. The purpose of this assessment was to obtain substantiated grading for the Group’s social impacts to ensure the appropriateness of policies and communication efforts with respect to stakeholders.

In 2015 Bouygues published its Group Corporate Social Responsibility policy which formalises the principles upon which its five business segments will draw to pursue or improve actions already undertaken and to define related performance targets by 2020.

Its three areas of major commitments are listed below:

1. strengthen Bouygues’ position as a benchmark player in innovative solutions for infrastructures and cities, by responding to societal expectations, as well as the natural resources, climate and biodiversity crises;

2. act as a socially responsible company in terms of ethics, purchasing practices, risk management and respect for stakeholders;

3. promote the professional fulfilment of employees, whilst maintaining their physical well-being, guaranteeing equal opportunities, and fighting against all forms of discrimination.
