“The HR team enabled me to take stock of my career goals”

For seven years, I changed jobs regularly within Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France. However, my husband and I wanted to move closer to his family in Perpignan, south of France.

So, I talked to my manager and quickly contacted an HR officer at the Group’s job mobility and career advice unit.
The HR officers listened to what I wanted. They enabled me to take stock of my career goals. In fact, in order to change jobs successfully, I had to have another driving force other than simply leaving the Paris region.  I also had to think about the job I wanted. At the same time, I was looking at job offers on the Mobyclic website to see vacancies elsewhere in France. And that’s how I changed jobs!
I came across an opportunity to work as a customer relations manager for Bouygues Immobilier in Toulouse. My job starts after the marketing phase, I provide support for customers in all aspects of purchasing their home, from reservation to completion.
This gave me the opportunity to make a change in my life and to embark on a new career challenge.

My advice would be to not hesitate to talk about job mobility if that is what you want. In my case, I was really encouraged by HR and that really reassured me.
