Colas turns 80

Colas started operating in Africa and the Antilles in the 1930s and in North America in the 1960s. It moved into the Indian Ocean region in the early 1980s and has developed operations in Asia and in major European countries in the last 15 years.
It has extended its scope of activities over the years, acquiring Aximum (formerly Somaro, a supplier of road equipment), then Spac (pipelines and mains), Smac (waterproofing), Seco-Rail and Spie Rail, now Colas Rail (railways).
