Acquired by the Bouygues group in 1986, the TF1 TV channel has grown to become a private media group that is the leader in freeview television in France. The TF1 group’s core business is to produce, broadcast and distribute content over all media. It produces four complementary freeview TV channels – TF1, TMC, NT1, HD1 and LCI – that together claimed an average total audience share of 27.4% in 2016.
